Bully Breed is a nonexclusive term used to recognise an assortment of terrier-type dogs, for example, American Pit Bull Terriers, Bull Terriers, Bullmastiffs, Staffordshire Terriers, Boston Terriers, Boxers, French Bulldogs and American Bully. The term bully dog also incorporates dogs who resemble these terriers in some physical manner, yet who might possibly really have any hereditary relationship to these types of dogs.

The expression “bully breed”actually has nothing to do with the canines’ personality or behaviour and everything to do with their source and history. Bully dogs are relatives from crossing between old bulldogs and of British terriers. The intersection of the bulldog and the British terrier delivered a variety called the Bull-and-Terrier that consolidated the muscle force and industriousness of the bulldog with the terrier’s sharpness, spryness and speed. In the mid-1800s the bull-and-terrier was a most known by sport enthusiast. The dogs were valued for hound battling, bull teasing and badger baiting.
